His Excellency Mohammed B.S. Jallow, Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia, formally welcomed Mr. Musa Mbye as the new Permanent Secretary at the Office of the Vice President (OVP) during the weekly Senior Management Team (SMT) meeting held at State House in Banjul.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Adviser to the Vice President Mr. Madi Jatta, Permanent Secretary Mbye, and other members of the OVP leadership.
In his remarks, Vice President Jallow underscored the importance of the SMT meetings in strengthening institutional coordination, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring the effective management of the Office. He expressed confidence in Mr. Mbye’s ability to contribute meaningfully to the work of the OVP and extended his best wishes for success in his new role.
Permanent Secretary Mbye, in response, conveyed his gratitude to the Vice President for the warm reception and described his appointment as both a privilege and an honour. He commended the Vice President’s encouragement and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the management and staff of the Office. Mr. Mbye pledged his full cooperation, dedication, and determination to advance the mandate of the OVP in service to the Gambian people.
