Dear Ambassador,

My name is Tolulope Aina and as you might have read in OYW’s various social media platforms, I am the new Coordinating Ambassador for West and Central Africa. I am thrilled and extremely honored to be your Coordinating Ambassador. This is a humbling opportunity for me to serve the community but I cannot do this without your unflinching support.

Kindly allow me to briefly introduce myself and tell you how I will be supporting you in my role as Coordinating Ambassador (CA).

I am a citizen of Nigeria, a graduate of the University of Ibadan where I studied Agricultural economics. I am an entrepreneur, Agribusiness development enthusiast, consultant, certified trainer, mentor and an agricultural advocacy champion.

I am the founder of Tolulope Foods and Farms, an emerging Agribusiness in Nigeria determined to bridge the gap of malnutrition, gender, hunger, poverty and unemployment in Nigeria and beyond by sustainably producing hygienic, nutritious and affordable food for local consumption and export.

Driven by my deep-rooted passion for agricultural development in Nigeria and across Africa, I founded “Youth Agvocates Nigeria”, an NGO targeted at facilitating sustainable youth and women participation in agriculture through advocacy and capacity building programmes.

My Role as your Coordinating Ambassador:
As the linchpin between ambassadors and the One young world team in London, my responsibilities as your coordinating ambassador is geared towards promoting and strengthening the noteworthy and inspirational activities you bring to the region, uphold an engaging and vibrant community of ambassadors, nominate an ambassador monthly who will be promoted on OYW website, foster synergy and collaboration among ambassadors and also organize innovative activities, programs and or event that promote the core values of One Young World by leveraging on the strength and support of the community of vibrant ambassadors within the region.

I look forward to e-meet you and learn more about the work that you do. Please do not hesitate to share with me any progress that you are making so that we can use OYW social media and other relevant platforms to give you the visibility that you deserve. Kindly share any news, photos, films, media coverage, events, projects and blog posts – whether it’s about your work or any issues affecting your local community or the world at large.

One Young World West and Central Africa Online Meetup

As the world currently faces unprecedented times, the onus is on us as ambassadors in our various fields to come together as one, form a support system and be the true and impactful leaders that we are.

I would love to crave your indulgence to attend a virtual meetup call to checkup on ourselves, which is also an avenue to get to know about the wonderful COVID-19 initiatives facilitated by Ambassadors in the region.

The proposed date of the meetup is 24th May, 2020 by 8pm GMT +1 and venue will be on zoom.
