The Global Properties Gambia Limited in collaboration with Swami India International, recently inaugurated a New Estate called “Barakah” at a ceremony held in Bakoteh.

Mr. Saul Frazer, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Properties, recalled that the company began its operations 12 years ago, with the motto ‘Innovative Property Solutions’.

He informed that the company said partnership is vital in strengthening their objectives in order to accomplish their goals. CEO Frazer maintained that together with their partners, Swami India International, they have not only achieved their goals in the last decades but as well they have achieved beyond their goals.

He explained that because of their fruitful partnership with the Swami India, they have built two of the most popular estates in the country; citing Paradise Estate in Old Yundum and Paradise View in Salagi built by them.

The Global Properties CEO further noted that the demand for this type of housing estate continues to increase as more and more people seek for quality and affordable accommodation. And their desire to satisfy these demands, as Fraser noted, has now led them to their current project, the Barakah Estate [Bakoteh] -which has 4 different types of houses to meet the various purchasing capacities of people.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Swami India International, Khimji Pindoriya, said looking back at the beginning, “the passion for construction motivated us to bring innovative ideas that Gambia has never seen before”.

With their technical skills and experience from India, Pindoriya acknowledged that the Gambia was the perfect platform that gave them the opportunity to create concepts suitable for the demands from consumers.

“Realising our position within the industry, we venture to the next project in Salagi called Paradise View, where we also developed unique and sophisticated building styles that matched the western standards along with more advanced infrastructural developments that enhanced the neighbourhood. We sold out quickly and now we arrive to Barakah Estate,” the Swami senior official remarked.

The CEO added that through their journey with their partners, they have realised that customers satisfaction is the key to the success of their business.

He said their motto is ‘building a better world’, and with their projects here in the Gambia, their contributions are evident in the communities that they have developed.

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Lands and Regional Government, Mariama Ndure Njie, said the project marks another success in the quality partnership that is between Global Properties and Swami India International.

She noted that this project compliments Government’s endeavour to bridging the housing deficit in the country, “but most importantly,” in the employment of youths in the construction sector.

Deputy Mayor of Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC), Mr. Musa Bah, described the Estate as a ‘mind-blowing complex’. The KMC’s Number 2 believed that could only continue to promote diversity by creating communities with people of different socio- economic, educational and professional backgrounds.
