The Co-founder/CEO of SyeComp has been invited by the African Development Bank (AfDB) as Distinguished Speaker at the Land Policy Conference in Africa from 25th to 29th November in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

The Land Policy Conference in Africa is one of the continent’s most critical knowledge-sharing event. The inaugural edition was held in 2014, followed by a second conference in 2017, which gathered 450 participants.

From the company’s operational base in Nairobi, Mr. Elorm Allavi, will share his company’s efforts in helping unlock traditional and climate financing with mfarmPay for Africa’s smallholder farmers and financial institutions with science-based credit modeling and geodata technologies. He will also share key partnerships established with corporate institutions and expansion plans to significantly impact 12 million farmers within 3 years in key frontier markets in Africa.

The Conference on Land Policy in Africa is a stimulating policy dialogue dedicated to promoting good land governance on the continent. This year’s gathering is hosted by the African Development Bank under the theme: “Winning the fight against corruption in the land sector, sustainable pathways for Africa’s transformation”.

The biennial conference, organized by the Land Policy Centre, provides a central platform for African stakeholders to network and deepen their commitment and strengthen their capacity on land policy development, implementation and monitoring through access to knowledge and evidence-based land policymaking.

The meeting is expected to build consensus among African policymakers and stakeholders on future direction for addressing land governance challenges, with a focus on corruption.
