Twenty-one communities in the North Bank Region have received from the minister of agriculture milling machines and power tillers.

The villages of Fass Njaga Choi, Madina Sering Mass, and Pakau Njogu are some of the villages in the region that benefited from the presentation of the machineries following a request they made during President Barrow’s nationwide tour in November 2019.

Amie Fabureh, Minister of Agriculture, said the equipment will go a long way in improving the agricultural value chain in the country. She said she is working to mechanise the sector.

The Minister for Information, Ebrima Sillah, who was part of the delegation to the North Bank, said his ministry was there to create visibility of various ministries.

He said the government is doing a lot to improve the livelihood of the people, particularly the farming community.
