Kombo Real Estate Gambia Company Limited (Co. Ltd.), an indigenously owned and operated real estate and property development firm, has added cashpower (Pre-Paid electricity Top-Up) sales to its services.

The company on Thursday officially launched ‘Kombo Power’ during a ceremony held at its head office in Bijilo Turntable, graced by media personnel, members of Gambian real estate sector, clients of Kombo Real Estate, well-wishers as well as staff, among others.

“Our ultimate goal with our latest project Kombo Power, is simply to bring cash power availability right to your doorstep. Queue-free, hassle-free,” the company averred.

Meanwhile, Kombo Real Estate’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Sanna Jassey, speaking on the occasion, held that Kombo Real Estate is a household name in the Gambia, as they have been operating for nine (9) years now.

Saying they thought it’s also important for them to divert into different areas, he added that Kombo Power is among those areas that they came up with…

“As you all know that our line of business is real estate; I know many people will be surprised as to why a real estate like us is into a cash power selling as well”.

Jassey reminded his audience Kombo Real Estate is a business (entity) that deals with lands, constructions and other things, which now include the Kombo Power initiative.

“The dynamics of business is changing in the whole world; you cannot rely on only one thing. You need to provide the needs of people from different ends,” he argued, as he also explained their partnership with the National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC) in this endeavour.

He stated that their reason for launching this cash power initiative is to save people from the hustle and troubles they face before getting themselves cash power every day, assuring they are authorized by NAWCE to this cashpower business.

Madam Fatou Cham, the General Manager of the company, spoke on some of the challenges they faced, disclosing most of the time, people would say they don’t know them and that they don’t know what Kombo Power is. “So, we are here to let them know that Kombo Power is directly under NAWEC, working under NAWEC; and we are NAWEC’s agents. And our cashpower and that of NAWEC are all the same in units,” Cham told the gathering, adding the only difference they have is that, their (Kombo Power) charges are very flexible because they’re charging for as low as D5 (dalasis) only.

Ms. Mariama Minteh is the overall Manager of the Kombo Power Project. Speaking at the launch ceremony, she informed that they are closely working with NAWEC in this process, and they have a lot of branches in the Greater Banjul Area.

Pointing out the benefits of their service, she indicated that in case you buy a cash power and later realized that you have lost your receipt, “when you come back to us at Kombo Power, we can help you fix that problem and get back your token number at that spot easily”.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Kombo Real Estate, Mr. Malick Jagne, in his remarks noted Kombo Power is very easy to access from anywhere, one is, in the Greater Banjul Area.

He said the idea of this Kombo Power initiative had been initiated by the company’s CEO in order to ease the burden on people in buying cashpower, and that they were thinking of expanding it to the rural areas of the country, for cashpower to be more easily accessible to the Gambian people.
