Nesthet Clinical Services is a healthcare solution provider that offers home care services for communities and sells software to hospitals.
As explained by its founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Lamin Jafuneh, they look at the problems in the heath sector and try to find solutions to those challenges. He recounted that Nesthet Clinical Services was registered on 25 January, 2015 as a sole proprietorship business company; and that from 2015 to 2017, they had embarked on a two-year research in numerous affected communities, noting that gave them an edge over other service providers.
The Nesthet Clinical Services chief believes there are these three groups of people in society: those that only complain but don’t provide solutions; those that try to solve issues; and those that benefit from the circumstances of the time.
As a solution company, CEO Jafuneh claimed they don’t “succumb to circumstances such as Covid-19”, but instead they try to find out solutions. He informed that from March 17 to April 20, Nesthet embarked on home-to-home sensitizations on the Covid-19 pandemic, accompanied by over 50 volunteers from various youth networks as they reached out to 90 households as well as 900 individuals. He said the target was to reach over 150 homes with over 1,500 people.
He disclosed that during the research process, members were separated into groups with assignments to work on, to find out solutions to the healthcare needs of some communities in the Gambia. It was in 2019 that they came up with an agenda in solving homecare services for the people, a project that started in early 2020 in rural and urban Gambia, said the founder of healthcare solution provider. The are targeting people suffering from chronic diseases, the physically challenged and the working class.
“In the Ramadan, we paused but we are continuing the campaign from this training,” Jafuneh told his audience at the ceremony. He stated the motive of the training is to equip volunteers with requisite skills and knowledge on the safety protocols of Covid-19, reasoning that members need such skills in their daily operations in their community outreaches and sensitizations in this pandemic period.
He explained that they have other projects but without funding, it will be impossible to embark on them, saying they have prepared about 20 drama series on the Coronavirus Disease, all meant to sensitize people about the the virus and its safety measures and preventive guidelines.
Jafuneh said these drama series would be posted on social media, and they also intend to embark on reaching out to prayers centers, inter alia Mosques and Churches.
