The InnovaRx Global Health, in short IGH, has taken giant steps in a bid to providing solutions to the health problems of Gambians. The multidimensional outfit is designed to fill the gaps in access to quality healthcare services, leveraging technology, collaboration, and global expertise.
IGH offers medical services such as community pharmacy, theraphy, diabetes and hypertension management and electronic prescription processing.
The vision of IGH, as Mansa Banko Online gathers, is to guarantee the right to access quality healthcare, on which the citizenry continuously invest greater share of their livelihoods, on regular screening and awareness sensitization campaign, as it’s the citizens’ most valuable form of wealth.
This was revealed to this reporter in an interview with Dr. Ismail D. Badgie, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of IGH, at his office along Bertil Harding Highway in Fajara. The IGH boss said they believe that for every healthcare problem, there is an IGH solution.
“We are also intentional in our efforts to focus most of our services on the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol,” remarked CEO Badgie.
He said their utmost focus is to tackle the number of Gambians dying, too early, from preventative deaths; the difficulty of getting quality medications to treat ailments; and the challenges Gambians have to go {through} to health facilities such as Brikama Major Health Center, in order have to access basic healthcare needs.
Dr. Badgie continued: “Our target is to provide healthcare solutions, and this can be achieved through collaboration with public private healthcare institutions.
“This will address the situation of Gambians going to Dakar for a routine test, such as a kidney function test as the only viable option for Gambians.”
He vowed that they are also committed to provide universal healthcare services standards to the Gambians people, regardless of their backgrounds and locations.
In this regard, Badgie said they have rolled out a host of innovative services such as Telemedicine, Medical Tourism, Cloud-based electronic health records systems, nationwide mobile delivery and at-home services, and point of care diagnostics.
“The integration of all these services makes it possible for tests such as kidney function, liver function, cholesterol, electrolytes, and can now be done at the facility; and results are made available within short period,” said the IGH founder. He added that the results could be instantly transmitted to any doctor or healthcare facility in the world.
Dr. Badgie is optimistic that despite the challenges that lie ahead in the delivery of healthcare needs of the populace, they would overcome the constraints…to guarantee healthcare demands of Gambians.
“We all know, we deserve better when it comes to health and many sectors. But we can only achieve better by being better citizens, better collaborators, and better patriots. Only Gambians can take authorship of the story that will be told three decades from now,” said the IGH CEO and Founder.
