Danny Dior NGONGANG, Country Partner, Tropics Business Summit Cameroon and Central Africa says, “The Tropics Business Summit is a forum focused on business development in Africa. It is therefore inevitable that leading to the 5th edition of the Tropics Business Summit, the caravan makes a marked stop in Cameroon. Africa in miniature, the locomotive of Central Africa, through this Mixer, we want to highlight the abundant riches of Cameroon, to present the existing opportunities for all those wishing to intervene and invest in Africa, and ultimately position Cameroon as an essential land for investment.”

Venicia GUINOTt, Chairwoman, Tropics Group of Companies and President, Tropics Business Summit says, “Cameroon remains one of the most stable countries in the central African region. Being the largest economy in the Economic and Monetary Community of Central African States (CEMAC) subregion and the breadbasket of central Africa, the country shows great potential as it plans its involvement in significant government procurements, major infrastructure projects and other business opportunities, thereby making the country profitable to foreign investments. It also has a young, skilled and qualified labor force, fostering opportunities for job creation through entrepreneurship, which is ultimately good for the country’s economic growth.”

Tropics Business Summit (TBS) is an action and results-oriented business forum connecting 54 African countries to the rest of the world. The Summit takes place yearly in the month of October as a global, livestream event. It is a deal -making marketplace, where the summit organizers, along with their global partners, position the African continent as a key investment destination, forge new synergies and structure new deals that will help close the gap between Anglophone, Francophone, Lusophone and Arabophone markets. Businesses benefit from the opportunity to talk with representatives from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), corporations, investors, incubators, business accelerators, trade commissioners, and more, receiving advice on market development and access to foreign emerging markets.

The Tropics Business Mixer is the leading innovation platform focused on business opportunities and disruptive trends that gather the entrepreneurial system. It is a yearly series of 16 smaller business events, which focuses on different African countries that all lead up to the Tropics Business Summit held every October.

The theme for the 5th Annual Tropics Business Summit is, “Accelerate the Transition to a Circular Economy.” The event will be held from 13-16 October 2021 and focus on eight key sectors for pan-African economies offering opportunities for investors in Finance and Capital Investment, Infrastructure, Energy, Agriculture, Consumer Products (FMCG), Sustainable Tourism, Telecommunications and Technology.
