Pamela Vignikin, West Africa Coordinator of the Tropics Business Summit says, “Ivory Coast is a veritable cultural mosaic, it is a country with strong economic and tourist attractions with modern infrastructure and economic projects. Côte d’Ivoire is one of the countries of West Africa that has a booming economy and is socially welcoming. The investment opportunities are numerous and varied. Its entrepreneurship sector is in full development, its tourism sector is one of the pillars of economic and development and the same for its agribusiness sector.”

Venicia Guinot, Chairwoman, Tropics Group of Companies and President, Tropics Business Summit says, “The Ivorian economy, considered the strongest in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), remains a preferred destination for foreign investors in the region. Foreign investment in the Ivory Coast is bouncing back with a strong economy, enjoying robust growth levels to become one of the most dynamic economies in the ECOWAS region. By developing country standards, Ivory Coast, a model of stability, has an outstanding infrastructure and telecommunications, and is one of the most modern and livable west African cities in the region, making it one of the countries ranked for ease of doing business. Through the Tropics Business Mixer, we want to show Ivory Coast can attract top global investors and corporations as it seeks to improve their business environment and diversify its economy.”

Tropics Business Summit (TBS) is an action and results-oriented business forum connecting 54 African countries to the rest of the world. The Summit takes place yearly in the month of October as a global, livestream event. It is a deal-making marketplace, where the summit organizers, along with their global partners, position the African continent as a key investment destination, forge new synergies and structure new deals that will help close the gap between anglophone, francophone, lusophone and arabophone markets. Businesses benefit from the opportunity to talk with representatives from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), corporations, investors, incubators, business accelerators, trade commissioners, and more, receiving advice on market development and access to foreign emerging markets.

The theme for the 5th Annual Tropics Business Summit is, “Accelerate the Transition to a Circular Economy.” The event will be held from 13-16 October 2021 and focus on eight key sectors for pan-African economies offering opportunities for investors in Finance and Capital Investment, Infrastructure, Energy, Agriculture, Consumer Products (FMCG), Sustainable Tourism, Telecommunications and Technology.
